South, North to Conduct Pest Control at Mount Geumgang

The two Koreas will jointly conduct pest control at the North's Mount Geumgang from Monday to Wednesday.

Some ten South Korean officials will visit the North Monday to deliver insecticide and sprayers as well as conduct exterminations.

South Korea will deliver some 130 million won worth of goods, including protective garments and masks.

Funding was provided by the Inter-Korean Cooperation Fund, established by the South Korean government in 1990 to promote exchanges between the two Koreas.

South and North Korea also jointly inspected pine trees damaged by bugs on Mount Geumgang at the end of July.
