SARS Scare Escalates in U.S. with Suspected Cases Exceeding 230

The fear over SARS is fast escalating in the United States with more than 230 suspected cases of infection reported. The World Health Organization said the number of suspected SARS patients rose from forty-one to fifty four in a range of one week. The U-N health organization added that cases of infection had been reported in Florida and Wisconsin, bringing the total number of SARS-hit states to 19. Among the 50 sates, California was found to have the most SARS cases with 21 suspected patients being quarantined and under treatment.
