S. Korea Beats Kuwait 1-0 in 2018 World Cup Asian Qualifier

South Korea beat Kuwait 1-0 Thursday for its fourth straight win in the second round of the Asian qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
 
The only goal of the match at SC Stadium in Kuwait City on Thursday came in the 12th minute from South Korea's Midfielder Koo Ja-cheol.
 
As a result, South Korea maintained the top spot in Group G with four victories. South Korea has a total of 12 points, or three points more than the group's second ranking team, Kuwait.
 
Team Korea will return home on Saturday and play a warm-up match against Jamaica next Tuesday.
 
Lebanon, which is also in Group G, beat Myanmar 2-0 to rank third in the group.
 
In Group E, Japan defeated Syria 3-0 to rank at the very top of its group. 
 
North Korea, which is in Group H, tied with the Philippines, but did not gain points.
