Judoka Kim Sung-min has won a gold medal at the 2015 Judo Grand Slam in the United Arab Emirates.
 
Kim claimed the gold medal by defeating Ukraine’s Lakiv Khammo in the men’s over 100-kilogram heavyweight final held at the IPIC Arena in Abu Dhabi on Monday. Khammo won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships in August. 
 
Kim advanced to the final after beating Levani Matiashvili of Georgia in a semi-final.
 
Kim sealed the victory by winning one point with just one minute and 56 seconds left.
 
Team Korea won four gold medals and ranked number one in the overall medal standings. Russia finished second with two gold, a silver and a bronze.
