Renowned ballerina and director Kang Sue-jin will finish her ballerina career in South Korea this week after her final performance, “Onegin.”

Kang will perform with the Stuttgart Ballet, a leading German ballet company, at the Seoul Arts Center in southern Seoul from Friday to Sunday.

She will officially retire as a performer next July in Germany.

Kang, who has been the art director of the Korean National Ballet, said on Wednesday that she was happy to have been cherished by the people as a ballerina and would now concentrate on being a director.

Kang entered the Stuttgart Ballet in 1986 when she was 19 and performed as one of the principal ballerinas.
