Over Half of S. Koreans Disapprove of New Seoul Slogan

More than half of South Koreans disapprove of Seoul city government’s choice of “I.Seoul.U.” as the new slogan for the capital city.
 
According to a phone survey of 500 people aged 19 or above conducted by pollster Real Meter, 55 percent of respondents disapproved of the new slogan while only 12 percent were in favor.
 
In particular, Seoul citizens were found to be the biggest opponents of the idea with 66-point-five percent disapproving.
 
Among the opponents, 36 percent supported the continued use of the previous slogan “Hi Seoul” and 19 percent were in favor of collecting and considering other options.
