Coaches from the Real Madrid Foundation (RMF) have visited South Korea to teach football to Korean children from marginalized and vulnerable households.
Together with zipper manufacturer YKK Group, the Real Madrid Foundation will hold the YKK Asia Kids Football Clinic Thursday to Saturday in South Korea, including at the Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province.
RMF coaches will share training methods and techniques with Korean coaches on Thursday and hold the clinic for some 250 Korean kids Friday and Saturday.
YKK has been holding the kids football clinic in various Asian countries since 2007 while Real Madrid joined the cause in 2012.
It's the first time the clinic is being held in South Korea.
Luis Fernandez, Director of the Real Madrid office for the Asia-Pacific region said in a news conference at a Seoul hotel Thursday that a person's background has no meaning in sports.
He said that what counts is doing one's best and teamwork.
The Real Madrid Foundation is the organization involved in activities of corporate social responsibility (CSR) for the Spanish football club Real Madrid.
