The first SARS suspect in South Korea who was forcibly hospitalized will be released from the hospital on Saturday.

The National Health Institute said Friday that it decided to discharge the suspect, a man in his forties, since he has shown no particular SARS related symptoms during the past 48 hours. Moreover, the man is now free of the pneumonia symptoms he had previously exhibited.

The institute said, however, the man will be segregated in his home for about a week after the release according to the current regulations regarding SARS patients.
