First probable SARS patient released from isolation due to lack of identifiable symptoms of illness

The patient who was declared South Koreas first probable Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome case last month has been released from isolation.

Korean health officials said.the SARS advisory panel reached the agreement to de-hospitalize the patient after 13 days of quarantine, as he no longer exhibited any signs of pneumonia.

However, authorities will require him to stay at home for one week following his release from the hospital to keep tabs on his condition.

Health officials say there havent been any reports of additional suspected SARS cases, but they added they will keep a close eye on any future possible cases, as thousands of Koreans are returning to the nation from China every day.
