South Korea has defeated Cuba in the quarterfinals of the Premier 12 international baseball tournament, setting up a rematch with Japan in the semifinals.
The South Korean national team defeated Cuba seven-two in Taiwan on Monday, led by pitcher Jang Won-jun who gave up just two runs in four and two-thirds innings.
The national team will play against Japan at Tokyo Dome on Thursday.
