South Korea’s roller skater Woo Hyo-sook has won the gold medal at the 2015 World Roller Speed Skating Championships in Taiwan.
 
Woo took the top spot with 12 points at the senior ladies’ 10,000-meter points and elimination race on Tuesday in Kaohsiung, defeating her compatriot Yu Garam and Taipei’s Yang Ho-chen.
 
Woo, who won four gold medals at the 2011 championships, rejoined the nation’s roller skating team after three years and grabbed one gold and one silver medal.
 
South Korea is currently ranked second in the overall medal standings, with two gold, five silver and six bronze medals.
