Park In-bee Qualifies for LPGA Hall of Fame

South Korean golfer Park In-bee has become the youngest player to qualify for induction into the LPGA Hall of Fame.

The 27-year-old and world number two finished sixth at the CME Group Tour Championship in Florida on Sunday at 12 under.

The performance earned Park the 27 career points needed to qualify for the Hall of Fame.

She will become formally eligible for induction next year, after completing her 10th season playing on the professional tour.

If inducted, Park would become the second South Korean to receive the honor after Pak Se-ri in 2007.

Park already won the Vare Trophy this season, which is given to the player with the lowest scoring average.

South Korean-born New Zealander Lydia Ko was named Rolex Player of the Year. The world number one finished seventh at the tournament in Florida.

South Korea’s Jang Ha-na tied with American Gerina Piller in second at 17 under, a stroke behind American winner Cristie Kerr.
