6 Universities Say Admissions Process to See Little Change for 2018

A number of universities in Seoul say admission rules will remain largely unchanged for the 2018 academic year.

The heads of admission offices at six universities said in a joint statement Tuesday that a change, even a good change, must be sought by appropriately coordinating speed and scope. Any changes in the admissions process for 2018 must be finalized in March.

The statement was released by Sungkyunkwan University, Yonsei University, Ewha Womans University, Chung-Ang University, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Hanyang University.

The six admissions offices said they've been flooded with questions about admission rules for the 2018 academic year. They said they released the statement to reduce any confusion and block the spread of rumors.
