'A Midsummer's Fantasia' Wins Best Film Jury Prize at Asiatica Film Mediale

South Korean independent film, “A Midsummers’ Fantasia,” won the Jury Prize for Best Film at the 16th Asiatica Film Mediale.

The film’s distributor, Indiestory, said Friday that in giving out the prize, the jury described the film as being poetic and a work that depicted the history of the film.

The film, jointly produced with Japan, depicts the story of a Korean filmmaker’s trip to a small town in Gojo, Japan.

Asiatica Film Mediale is a film festival that recognizes Asian movies. First opened in 2000, it is held every year in Rome.
