Skater Lee Wins Gold in Women's 500M at ISU World Cup

Speed skater Lee Sang-hwa has won gold in the women's 500 meters at the International Skating Union (ISU)'s third World Cup for the 2015/2016 season.
 
In the first round of the Division A race in the 500 meters event held in Germany, Lee scored a time of 37-point-33 seconds and beat America's Brittany Bowe by zero-point-37 seconds.
 
With the latest win, Lee has scored 420 points to return to the top slot in women's 500 meters rankings.
 
The South Korean men’s team came in fourth at three minutes 46-point-17 seconds.
 
But Team Korea earned 140 points to rise to the top of the rankings with Poland ten points behind in second place.
