S. Korea's Lee Sang-hwa Wins Gold in Speed Skating World Cup

South Korea's Lee Sang-hwa grabbed gold in the second women's 500-meter event during the speed skating World Cup in Inzell, Germany on Sunday.
 
Lee crossed the finish line at 37-point-36 seconds, defeating the United States' Heather Richardson by zero-point-48 seconds.
 
Lee maintained her place at the top of the women's 500-meter world ranking as she widened her score by 140 with China's Zhang Hong, who didn't attend the World Cup.
 
Lee, who also won the first 500-meter event, ended the competition with two gold and one bronze.
 
Compatriot Park Do-young placed third in the women's mass start event at eight minutes 18-point-61 seconds.
 
It is the second time that a South Korean woman has won a medal at this season's World Cup mass start event after Kim Bo-reum won gold in the first race.
