S. Korea Defeats DR Congo in Women's Handball Championships

South Korea has defeated the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the qualifying round of the Women's World Handball Championships for its first victory in the games so far.
 
South Korea won 35-17, helped by Choi Su-min who scored eight goals, in the third game of the qualifying round in Denmark Tuesday.
 
In its previous two matches at the games, South Korea settled for draws against Brazil and France.
 
Meanwhile, President Hassan Mustafa of the International Handball Federation, which officially recognized a blown call during South Korea's match with France, visited the South Korean locker room to apologize.
 
South Korea finished with a 22-22 draw against France as an attempt by Yoo Hyun-ji in the first half wasn't counted as a goal due to a missed call.
