Foreigners have picked “amazing” as the best word to describe Korea.
 
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said on Wednesday that it collected about 24-thousand words describing Korea in 117 countries in a survey over the past two months.
 
“Amazing” took the top spot, while “dream” and beautiful” came in second and third, respectively. Unusual words such as “dopamine” and “endorphin” were also included in the list.
 
As for words to describe Koreans, many foreigners picked “kind,” “honest” and “friendly.”
 
The survey found that most foreigners experience South Korea through cultural items such as K-pop, food or Korean soap operas.
