KBS' documentary "Colors, 4 Desires - The Blue" has won the award for best cinematography at the 2015 Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival.
The episode is one of the public broadcaster's four-installment documentary themed on the colors of red, blue, green and white.
Initially aired in January 2014, the program dealt with the beauty of the four shades and their cultural and historical meanings across different continents of Asia, Europe and the Americas.
It also won the grand jury prize at the Banff World Media Festival last year.
The "blue" episode of the documentary that won the award in Guangzhou introduces different perspectives on the religious meaning of the color blue held by different regions and faith groups.
Launched in 2003, the Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival is the only festival in China supported by its government's State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.
It grants awards in eleven categories and some three thousand films from around 80 countries compete each year.
