KOTRA Sets up

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency is giving a helping hand to companies to tackle export-related problems arising from the spread of SARS. The state-run agency set up SARS call centers in its offices in Seoul and other cities across the nation. The centers established exclusive communication networks with nine countries and seventeen overseas trade centers which business companies at home are avoiding making business trips to out of fears of SARS. The measure follows a string of mounting losses in exports, including the cancellation of dozens of planned visits to overseas business exhibitions and meetings.
