Eleven more people died from severe acute respiratory syndrome in China and Hong Kong, boosting the world-wide SARS death toll over the six-hundred mark. The total number of patients infected with the deadly flu-like illness rose to some seven-thousand six-hundred. In China, hardest hit by the virus, the death toll climbed to around 270 with 52 new cases of infection reported.
