Baltimore Orioles Officially Sign Outfielder Kim Hyun-soo

Major League Baseball’s (MLB) Baltimore Orioles have officially announced the signing of South Korean outfielder Kim Hyun-soo.

The Orioles signed Kim to a two-year, seven-million dollar deal and released a picture of him wearing a team jersey with the number 25.

MLB.com reported that Kim said he is "very eager" to play in the MLB and that he will try his best to perform as well as he did in South Korea.

Baltimore executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette said he is satisfied with Kim's offense, outfield defense and base running abilities.

Kim is the first player to jump from the Korea Baseball Organization to MLB via free agency.
