An eleven-year-old figure skating prodigy You Young has won the South Korean national figure skating championship.

You on Sunday won the championship at the age of eleven years and eight months, breaking Kim Yu-na’s record at 12 years and six months. 

You scored 183-point-75 points after collecting 122-point-66 points in the single free-skating event to become the youngest national championship title holder in South Korea,

You’s age disqualifies her for the World Junior Figure Skating Championships. The runner-up of the Korean championship Choi Da-bin and fifth-place Park So-youn will participate in the international competition.
 
Lee June-hyoung won the men’s side for the second consecutive year, scoring 223-point-72 points in the men’s singles, the highest-ever tally.
