S. Koreans Watch TV for 2 Hours 46 Minutes a Day

A survey finds that South Koreans watch TV more than they spend time on smartphones and listening to radio.
 
According to the survey by the Korea Communications Commission (KCC), South Koreans watch TV for two hours and 46 minutes a day on average.
 
It is much longer than the one hour and 19 minutes spent using smartphones and 17 minutes listening to radio.
 
Ninety-five percent of the respondents said that they have TVs at home.
 
Meanwhile, 46-point-four percent said that smartphones are the most essential source of media, while 44-point-one percent cited TVs. It is the first time the figure for smartphones surpassed that of TVs.
