The 2016 Daegu International Marathon will be held April 3 in downtown Daegu.
 
Some 200 world-class runners from home and abroad are scheduled to participate this year.
 
Also 14-thousand-800 masters marathoners will compete in four categories on full, half, ten- and five-kilometer courses.
 
Amateurs can also apply to run in the marathon through March 11 by faxing applications to the marathon secretariat or registering on the event's official Web site at marathon.daegusports.or.kr. 
 
The Daegu marathon has been certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations as a Silver Label Road Race for four consecutive years.
 
The race will begin at 8 a.m. on April 3.
