S. Korea Defeats Yemen 5-0 in Olympic Football Qualifying Tournament

South Korea defeated Yemen 5-0 at the men’s Olympic football qualifying tournament in Doha, Qatar.
 
Led by head coach Shin Tae-young, the team secured the win on Saturday for their second straight victory of Group C at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Championship, which also serves as the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
 
Kwon Chang-hoon scored the first goal for the team in the 14th minute and added two more in the first half to complete the hat trick. The Korean squad added two more in the second half.
 
By securing two wins, South Korea advances to the second round of the championship regardless of the results of its third match against Iraq.
 
South Korea will face Iraq on Wednesday, which defeated Uzbekistan 3-2.
