A memorial hall for video artist Paik Nam-jun will be built in Seoul to mark the tenth anniversary of his death.
 
General Director Kim Hong-hee of Seoul Museum of Art said on Monday that the memorial will be created at the site of Paik’s childhood home in Changsin-dong Seoul, which was purchased by Seoul City.
 
The memorial will open on the late artist’s birthday, July 20 and display materials and replicas showcasing his life and works.
 
The Seoul Museum of Art also plans to hold an exhibition in June to display Paik’s paintings, sculptures and videos.
