S. Korean Olympic Men's Football Team Heads to Quarterfinals

The South Korean Olympic men's football team qualified for the quarterfinals of the Asian Football Confederation(AFC) U-23 Championship.
 
Led by coach Shin Tae-yong, South Korea tied 1-1 with Iraq on Tuesday. Striker Kim Hyun scored for South Korea in the 22nd minute. But Iraq’s Amjed Hussein tied the game in second-half stoppage time.
 
South Korea qualified as the top of Group C, winning two and tying one. Iraq will qualify for the quarterfinals as Group C’s second seed after also winning two and drawing one match. South Korea finished ahead of Iraq due to goal differentials.
 
The team will face Group D’s second seed on Saturday.
