Everland to Join Efforts to Protect Giant Pandas

South Korea's first amusement park Everland will partake in an international campaign to protect giant pandas.

The resort, operated by Samsung C&T Corporation, said Wednesday that it decided to participate in the campaign.

Organized by the UN Development Programme(UNDP), China Wildlife Conservation Association and Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, the campaign seeks to protect and foster the endangered species which have only some one-thousand-600 remaining worldwide.

In the first quarter of this year, Everland will receive a male giant panda and a female giant panda from China.
