Arts University Opens Traditional Art Course for Multicultural Families

The Korea National University of Arts is accepting applications for the 7th class of traditional arts courses for those in multicultural families.

The school has been running the program since 2013 to offer cultural experiences for the underprivileged and aims to boost social rapport and harmony.

The selected students will attend classes every Saturday for 15 weeks starting from March 12th at the school of Korean Traditional Arts in the Seongbuk District of Seoul.

Courses comprise teaching traditional music like pansori, samulnori and playing traditional instruments and based on age groups including classes for infants.

Giving priority to multicultural families and the low income bracket, North Korean defectors, expats and average citizens may also apply for the courses that are completely free of charge.
