An annual conference of overseas diplomatic mission chiefs has opened in Seoul. More than one hundred senior diplomats are attending the three-day meeting.

Key topics for discussion include the North Korean nuclear issue, inter-Korean relations and other security issues.

The diplomats will also discuss how the nation should respond to the changing global economic situation in the wake of the Iraq war, how to assist efforts to bring the 2010 Winter Olympics to Pyeongchang and ways to better protect Koreans living overseas.
