The South Korean men’s football team will face Japan in the final match of the Asian Football Confederation(AFC) U-23 Championship. 

Team Korea will aim to beat its long-time regional rival in the match set to kick off in Doha, Qatar on Saturday.

Ahead of the big match, coach Shin Tae-yong said he is optimistic about the team's victory, adding patience is likely to be a deciding factor.

With the 3-1 victory on Tuesday against Qatar in the semifinals, South Korea has already secured a berth to the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and became the only country that has qualified for eight consecutive Olympic appearances.
 
Team Korea has never lost an Olympic qualifier since its match against Japan on January 27, 1992.
