S. Korea Loses to Japan 3-2, Finishes Second at AFC U-23

South Korea lost to Japan 3-2 on Saturday to finish second at the Asian Football Confederation Under-23 Championships in Qatar.

Led by coach Shin Tae-yong, the South Korean men’s football team was leading 2-0, but Japan came back by scoring three goals in the second half.

Japan scored their first two goals over two minutes from the 22nd minute mark of the second half and substitute Takuma Asano scored the winning goal in the 81st minute.

By reaching the final, both teams qualified for the Rio Olympics later this year.
