KOTRA Reopens Its Baghdad Branch

Written: 2003-05-21 00:00:00Updated: 0000-00-00 00:00:00

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency reopened its branch in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad last Saturday.

The branch has remained closed since officials at the branch had been evacuated to Amman, the Jordanian capital, in February prior to the U.S. attack on Iraq.

An official at the state-run agency said the reopening of the Baghdad branch is expected to help Korean firms make inroads into Iraq's postwar reconstruction projects.
