61 Moonlight Tour to Take Place at Changdeok Palace This Year

Night hours and events at an ancient royal palace in downtown Seoul will be extended this year.

The Cultural Heritage Administration said on Wednesday that the Moonlight Tour at Changdeok Palace will be offered 61 times this year from March 21st to October, 24 more than the previous year.

Participants of the nighttime tour will be allowed to stroll the grounds of the palace and enjoy traditional Korean music through performances of a traditional woodwind instrument, or daegeum.

Tickets for the first half of the year will be available at the Interpark Web site starting from next Tuesday. One person may purchase up to two tickets and senior citizens older than 65 may buy the tickets by telephone.

Ticket price for the tour is 30-thousand won, or 24 U.S. dollars.
