PR Expert to Set up Signboards About Korean Forced Laborers

A professor known for promoting South Korea says that he will work to set up notification signs at sites where Koreans were forced to work by Japan during World War II.

Professor Seo Kyung-duk of Sungshin Women's University said he found that there are no notices at the sites of Japan's forced labor in South Korea. He added that he will stage an online donation campaign to raise funds for the installment of signboards.

The signs will be set up in Samneung in Incheon and at the Ilgwang Mine in Busan.

In collaboration with the online community last year, Seo published a booklet in three languages about Korean forced laborers conscripted by Japan. The materials were donated to a museum in Japan to help Korean tourists and Japanese people learn more about the historical circumstances.
