This year's conference of South Korea's overseas diplomatic mission chiefs concluded its three-day session in Seoul Friday.

Participants agreed on the need to make more efforts to bring a permanent peace to the Korean Peninsula and to help the country become an economic hub of Northeast Asia.

They also shared the view that multilateral talks, such as the recent three-way meeting in Beijing, should continue for the sake of a peaceful resolution to the North Korean nuclear standoff.

A total of 104 diplomats posted overseas attended the conference held at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in central Seoul.
