Rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae ranked third on the first day of the individual all-around competition at this year’s first World Cup stop in Espoo, Finland.
 
On Friday, she earned a combined 36-point-750 points from ball and hoop routines at the Espoo World Cup. 
 
She currently ranks third behind Aleksandra Soldatova of Russia at first place and Ukraine's Ganna Rizatdinova at second. 
 
Son, who is 21-year-olds, will perform clubs and ribbon programs on Saturday for a medal in the individual all-around competition.
