Bernard Werber is Most Loved Author by S. Koreans

French novelist Bernard Werber has been chosen by South Korean readers as the most loved writer in the past decade.
 
According to the nation’s largest book retailer Kyobo Bookstore’s cumulative sales for novels from 2006 to 2015, Werber ranked first in sales over the ten-year period with most of his novels published in South Korea becoming bestsellers.
 
Japanese author Haruki Murakami and Keigo Higashino came in second and third.
 
South Korean writers Shin Kyung-sook and Kim Jin-myung placed fifth and sixth.
 
South Korean novelist Yi Mun-yol had the most novels on Kyobo’s annual novel bestsellers list between 1981 and 2015, with 13 different works making the list 23 times.
