Taedwondo has been selected as an official event for the 2019 Parapan American Games in Lima, Peru.
 
The World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) said on Sunday that it received the notice by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the Americas Paralympic Committee (APC).
 
APC and the organizing committee of the Parapan American Games held meetings from February 29 to select 17 official events for the games.
 
The selected games include track and field, boccia, cycling, five- and seven-person soccer, judo, swimming and table tennis.
 
The Parapan American Games is a multi-sport event held every four years after every Pan American Games for athletes with physical disabilities.
