Park Byung-ho Smacks Grand Slam For First Homer in Preseason

Park Byung-ho of the Minnesota Twins recorded his first home run in the MLB with a grand slam, leading his team to a 5-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays in a preseason game in Port Charlotte, Florida on Sunday.

With two outs and the bases loaded in the top of the first inning, the 29-year-old South Korean slugger smacked the third pitch off Jake Odorizzi into the left-field seats.

In an interview with a local daily, Park said he wanted to better his timing through each of the spring training games and he was able to do it against the Rays.

He went one for three in the Tampa Bay game, where he also scored two. His batting average has improved to .182. He has hit twice in eleven at bats in four preseason games so far.
