South Korean figure skater You Young has won her first international competition on her second try.

At the International Skating Union(ISU) Cup of Tyrol’s advanced novice girls' free skating event in Innsbruck, Austria, Thursday, You earned a combined score of 88-point-zero-three in the category.

Earning a total of 134-point-75 points from the free skating and short programs, the eleven-year-old South Korean skater defeated Marina Piredda of Italy, who came in second with 102-point-43 points. 

You’s gold comes after her silver medal in August last year at the 2015 Asian Trophy advanced novice competition.
