N. Korean Scientist Threatens over Hydrogen Bomb

A North Korean nuclear scientist has threatened that if the North’s intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) carrying a hydrogen bomb explodes above Manhattan in New York, it would result in the instant death of all its citizens and the destruction of the city.

Nuclear scientist Cho Hyong-il issued the threat in his contribution to the North Korean media outlet “DPRK Today.”

The scientist claimed that North Korea has everything it needs, including ICBMs and nuclear bombs that are smaller and lighter.

In the contribution, Cho said that a hydrogen bomb tested by the former Soviet Union created heat that could cause a third-degree burn 100 kilometers away from the test site and broke windows of buildings located one-thousand kilometers away, but the North’s hydrogen bomb is much stronger.

The scientist also claimed that the North is capable of making a bomb or warhead with a yield of some 15 kilotons.
