Culture Ministry Expands Tourist Bus Routes for Foreign Visitors

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Visit Korea Committee will jointly operate a tourism program from this Friday that was expanded to encourage foreigners visiting Seoul to travel to areas outside the capital city.

The K-Travel Bus program will offer rides exclusively to foreigners and will include a one-night stay. The travelers will have six travel route options: Daegu, Gangwon Province, North Gyeongsang Province, South Jeolla Province, southeastern Korea or Tongyeong.

Buses can be booked online with at least four people needed to secure a reservation. Rides to the six destinations will depart once a week from Seoul at the same time.

Each tour will cost 170 U.S. dollars to cover transportation, lodging, translation services and entry fees to tourist destinations.
