U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary set to visit Seoul next week

According to sources in Seoul Tuesday, US Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz will visit Seoul June 1st and 2nd to discuss the North Korean nuclear issue with ranking Korean officials.

Wolfowitz will exchange views on a follow-up to the Korea-U.S. summit during talks with Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Yoon Young-kwan and Defense Minister Cho Young-kil as well as officials from Cheong Wa Dae.

Wolfowitz will attend a conference of defense ministers and chairmen of joint chiefs of staffs of the Asia Pacific region May 30 through June 1 in Singapore before coming to Seoul.
