Olympic Football Team Beats Algeria in Friendly

The South Korean men's Olympic football team beat Algeria 2-0 in a friendly match on Friday with Kwon Chang-hoon and Moon Chang-jin scoring the two goals.

In the match held at Icheon Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province, midfielder Kwon scored just after the third minute of play while Moon netted one in the 30th minute.

The first goal came when Kwon received a pass from Park Yong-woo and connected it into a shot. Also later in the first half, Kwon assisted Moon's goal with an accurate pass.

Team Korea coached by Shin Tae-yong also demonstrated stable play in defense against powerhouse Algeria, which secured its seat at the upcoming Rio Olympics by finishing second in the qualifiers after Nigeria.

South Korea and Algeria will play another friendly on Monday at Goyang Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, just north of Seoul.
