S. Korea to Participate in Milan Triennale 2016

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism says South Korea will participate in this year's International Exhibition of the Triennale di Milano from April second to September 12th.

At the event, the 21st of its kind, the ministry will showcase Korean crafts in collaboration with the Korea Crafts and Design Foundation.

Launched in 1923, the Triennale di Milano is a representative international exhibition in the fields of design, architecture and applied arts.

Under the theme of “21st Century. Design after Design,” this year’s event will highlight design as a new, creative economic driving force at some 170 booths.

Set up on the first floor of the Triennale Design Museum, the South Korean booth will feature 154 works by 28 Korean artists.

The works will symbolize the combination of traditional and contemporary crafts, laying out the direction of the arts for the future.
