The government will hold an exhibition to introduce and promote the essence of Korean culture and products as a way to examine the possibilities of industrialization and globalization through culture.
The "Made in Korea" exhibition, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, is set to open at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center(BEXCO) from Friday through next Wednesday.
The exhibition will display outstanding cultural products divided into three themes: the essence, possibility and evolution of Korean culture.
In the "essence" section, 185 items will be shown including various craftwork and the traditional Korean costume hanbok that were displayed at the “Korea Now” exhibition in France last year.
Contents designated as outstanding cultural products, as well as hanbok, Korean food and crafts will be displayed under the “possibility" portion.
The “evolution” section will present seven products jointly made by leading companies and craftsmen of Korean traditional arts.
