South Korea and Switzerland will hold a joint ballet performance in Basel, Switzerland this weekend.

The Seoul Ballet Company and Theater Basel will represent their respective countries at the performances scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. 

The South Korean embassy in Switzerland said that a special preperformance was held on Wednesday in front of some 100 Korean expats and key Swiss officials. After thanking the performers, Seoul’s Ambassador to Switzerland Lee Sang-kyu said the two companies’ joint performance was an ideal way to increase bilateral communication.

Theater Basel’s head Andreas Beck also welcomed the South Korean ballet troupe to Switzerland, saying the performances came after joint shows held in Seoul last fall.
