A major spring flower festival in the capital began on Monday.
 
The district of Yeongdeungpo in central Seoul said that the 12th Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival will run for a total of seven days until April tenth.

Along a one-point-seven kilometer section of the West Yeouido road, behind the National Assembly, there are one-thousand-886 cherry blossom trees as well as some 20 types of spring flowers, including azaleas and forsythias, all in full bloom.
 
The festival will feature some 70 cultural and artistic performances as well as exhibitions, including a KBS National Singing Contest and a concert titled K-pop in Yeouido.
